The social network Facebook is currently testing a new timeline display on a limited number of Facebook users.
The current Facebook timeline has not yet celebrated its 2 years, yet the social network will change once again the layout of the elements posted on the time line of its users.
The new Facebook timeline will contain a single column featuring all posts instead of the current interface that shows posts in a double column.
The boxes, which include a list of friends, photos and other elements, will remain in a narrower column on the right, in addition to interactions in real time and the Open Graph: recent activities, friends, places, etc.
With the new design, the line down the center which is used to separate columns and posts will be be removed, making the profile look less like a timeline, while retaining the timeline of dates for the review by the month and year on the top right side of the page.
Facebook confirmed that it is testing this design with a small percentage of users but did not offer any additional information about the exact time of the official launching of the new design.
It is worth mentioning that when Facebook launched Time Line interface for the first time many users found the two-column layout frustrating and expressed their dissatisfaction with the way their posts were arranged.
